With the help of some incredible people connected to CSU, Chico, one of the first major projects we became involved with was to help raise funds to build a clinic in Ozu Abam, Nigeria. The people involved believed, as we quickly did, that the building of the clinic would honor the hopes and aspirations of Kristina, who dreamed of someday helping to change the world by providing nursing care for patients residing in medically under-served areas of rural Africa. There is much more we will be sharing about the progress of this project in our blog, but the button below will earmark 100% of any donation made to be used in the building of this great facility.

We have started the Kristina Chesterman Memorial Nursing Scholarship at CSU, Chico. We are so grateful that the endowment has already raised over $40,000. This scholarship endowment will be able to help others in perpetuity who embody the spirit of Kristina and are pursuing the nursing profession out of the love of helping others. Being a nurse was only a start for our daughter and sister. Kristina was dedicated to helping those who needed help most. As soon as she graduated from nursing school she was determined to join Doctors Without Borders to help the victims in wartorn and poverty stricken regions of the world. The amazing generosity of hundreds of people have already helped us raise over $20,000 for this world class organization.
